Palacala and Huanano Waterfalls

Located in the Quebrada de Matala, in the district of San Jerónimo de Surco, province of Huarochirí. The combined height of the waterfall reaches 10 meters and there is a natural pool of very shallow depth where it is possible to cool off and enjoy the cold natural water that comes from the snow-capped mountains.
Our journey will begin early in the morning, where we will drive for 90 minutes towards the Andes mountain. We will then start our hike uphill for 9 km sorrounded by lots of vegetation and different landscapes until reaching this hidden waterfall. After enjoying this breathtaking place, we will continue towards the other creek to reach Huanano waterfall. It is possible to do rappel for those adventorous or just enjoy the cold water drizzle.
This is a full day tour. We will pick you up very early in the morning to avoid Lima´s traffic. Will be returning to Lima late in the afternoon.
Located 2,010 meters above sea level. It is a small and pinturesque town, located between the Andes mountains and the Rimac river. There are also several archaeological sites and a variety of agriculture such as apples, custard apple, corn, tubers and hundreds of flowers.
The rainy season begins in December and ends at the end of March. From April, the dry season begins, where the sun and the blue sky accompany us until the beginning of the rains.
